Main Upgrades from the Previous Year
The new lineup has six models, including the SRT Hellcat, which is back with its impressively powerful engine. Those who love this model will now have more options for customization.
The Plus package gives the SRT Hellcat outstanding features, including Laguna leather upholstery, smart safety alerts, and a power sunroof. There are also two new colours available -- triple nickel and oxide -- expanding the palette to eight options. All trims now have heated front seats as standard, as well.
Interior Layout and Options
The interior design of the new Durango is as sophisticated as it is comfortable. It’s spacious, like you might expect from an SUV, but the driver-centric cockpit has also been upgraded with a redesigned instrument panel and memory seats. The centre console is soft-wrapped and has more space, and there are six combinations of interior colours available -- black, light frost, lita grey, demonic red, ebony red, and radar red.
Exterior Layout and Options
The exterior design reflects the carmaker’s defining features: a muscle-up design and a striking style. There are fog lamps; LED headlamps and daylight running lamps; sculpted grille, hood, and rear spoiler; and a wide range of wheel options.
The Citadel model has few unique features, like bright chrome tips on the dual rear exhaust, mirror caps and door handles with platinum chrome accents. It also comes with satin carbon wheels (20-by-8-inch).
Technology, Infotainment, and Connectivity
The new Durango also comes full of tech features and some of the best infotainment options in the market. Entry-level trims come with an 8.4-inch touchscreen, while upper models have a 10.1-inch touchscreen equipped with Uconnect 5. Those who choose the SRT Hellcat will also receive a Harman Kardon 19-speaker sound system. All models are compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Wireless chargers come as standard for the SRT Hellcat, R/T, SRT 392 and Citadel trims.
Safety and Driver-Assistant Features
All models in the lineup come with a comprehensive set of driving assists and safety features. These include blind-spot monitoring, advanced brake assist, forward collision warning (with active braking), lane-departure warning and keep, and adaptive cruise control. There are seven airbags available for every trim, plus front seat thorax airbags, three-row side curtains and front-row head restraints.
