For years, the Ram 1500 Rebel has been compared to the ever-popular Raptor. These two trucks do have several similarities, but they also bring some of their own features that make them quite unique. This year, Ram has unveiled its new truck called the Rebel TRX. This new truck will be equipped with a new engine, new design features, and more technology than ever before. New Power and Performance Features
The Rebel TRX really stands out from other trucks when you look under the hood. The TRX will be equipped with a 6.2-litre supercharged HELLCAT HEMI V8 that will be paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and will deliver around 707 horsepower.
A More Versatile Interior
While some aspects of the truck may seem similar to the original Rebel, the cabin of the TRX doesn't seem to share too many similarities. For the first time ever, Ram will be incorporating aluminum paddle shifters to the back of the steering wheel. Also, instead of having the rotary shifter, the TRX will another shifter that is mounted to the centre console.
In terms of technology, the TRX is expected to be equipped with the popular Uconnect system that comes standard with a large 12-inch touchscreen display that has Bluetooth technology and is equipped with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Other Features
The new Rebel TRX has been compared to the already popular Raptor, but when it comes to the exterior, it does have a few things that the Raptor does not have. For instance, the TRX features wider fenders and a more aggressive-looking front grille. The LED headlights are proudly displayed in the front of the truck and are accompanied by a set of strategically placed vents. However, instead of the headlights being installed alongside the grille, they have been incorporated into the newly redesigned hood that features an air scoop design.
The body of the new TRX is not only stylish but also very practical. The rear bumper features two large exhaust tips and two oversized tow hooks. The new Ram 1500 Rebel TRX is said to be one of the most highly-anticipated new trucks of this decade.
